Frida Sol mirror / lemon yellow

Frida Sol round mirror with bright lemon yellow accents, featuring the face of Frida Kahlo with a head piece inspired by the “Tehuana” traditional dress from the Tehuantepec Isthmus, which is in the Southeast part of Mexico in the state of Oaxaca.

The Tehuantepec Isthmus is a society run by women. Frida Kahlo chose a very beautiful traditional dress that symbolises very powerful, independent and strong women.

The Tehuana head piece simulates a flower and it is normally made of white lace. In my interpretation of this design I decided to colour it yellow to make it look a Sun shining brightly in the sky.

Designed and printed in the United Kingdom, this Frida Sol round mirror is not only practical but it will also make you smile when you open your handbag!
