Parrot Brooch / Perico
This flying rainbow of a bird is a variation the parrot design that I originally created for the V&A Museum Exhibiton: "Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up".
This parrot is based on Frida Kahlo’s Parrot pets, and her use of birds in her paintings. However, my approach to design this brooch was inspired by the beauty and rich exotic colours of the birds from Mexico and South America.
Materials: Made of shimmering glitter silver acrylic and printed rainbow graphic feathers with a base metal and stainless steel clasp components. It comes with a gift box and a card with a graphic illustration.
Dimensions: 7 cm
